NDIA claim efficiency calculator

This calculator shows how much time your team spends preparing NDIA claim lines and fixing rejected ones each month, using your own numbers. It then estimates what a pre-check and a generated claim file could change, with every assumption shown and editable. It is an estimate, not a promise.

Your figures

Use your own numbers. Nothing you type is stored unless you ask for the full results.

Lines in your bulk payment requests and invoices. An example value; use your own.

Looking up the item, checking the price and typing it in.

From your recent remittances.

Pay plus on-costs such as super. An example value; use your own.

Used to show how much payment rejected lines hold up.

Assumptions

What you expect to change. Every figure here is an assumption you can edit, not a promise.

Your assumption. Change it to what you expect. Default: 70%, an estimate you can change.

Your assumption. Change it to what you expect. Default: 50%, an estimate you can change.

Your estimate

Time on claims now
18.3 hours a month
Preparing lines and fixing rejected ones
Rejected lines now
20 a month

The full results show the value of the time, a breakdown and the working.

How this is worked out
  • Rejected lines = 400 × 5% = 20 a month
  • Hours now = 400 × 2 min + 20 × 15 min = 18.3 hours a month
  • Hours after = preparation less 70% + 10 rejected lines (50% fewer) × 15 min = 6.5
  • Saved a year = (18.3 − 6.5) × 12 = 142 hours, worth $6,390 at $45 an hour

These are estimates from your figures and your assumptions. They are not a quote or a promise.
