NDIS budget calculator

Enter the plan budget, the supports you want and how often, and the calculator applies current NDIS price limits for your location to estimate what the budget pays for, including provider travel. It helps participants, families and coordinators see whether a budget is likely to last. It is an estimate, not a funding decision.

See roughly how many therapy sessions a plan budget pays for, using the price limits in the 2026–27 NDIS support catalogue. Free to use, and nothing is saved unless you ask for a PDF.

Step 1 of 4

Your plan

The budget, who it's for and where supports happen.

Plan budget for these supports

The amount in the plan for the services you'll choose next, for one year. We share it equally between them.

Participant's age

Children under 9 use early childhood items.

Where supports happen

Providers can charge more in remote and very remote areas.

Will providers travel to you?

Providers can charge for part of their travel time and for each kilometre driven.

This is an estimate, not a quote or financial advice. It uses NDIS price limits, which are the most a provider can charge. Many providers charge less, and some bill travel, reports or cancellations differently. Check current prices at ndis.gov.au and talk to your support coordinator or plan manager before you decide anything.

Autonomy Care is independent and not part of the NDIS or the NDIA.

Frequently asked questions

How does the calculator split my budget?

It shares the budget you enter equally between the services you choose. For example, $12,000 across three services gives each $4,000 for the year. Your plan and your agreements with providers may divide it differently.

Which prices does it use?

It uses the hourly price limits in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2026–27, as published in the NDIS support catalogue. A price limit is the most a provider can charge for that support. Many providers charge less, so your budget may go further.

Why are prices higher in remote areas?

Providers can charge more in remote and very remote areas. The calculator uses the catalogue's remote and very remote price limits, which are roughly 40% and 50% higher than in cities and regional areas.

How is provider travel worked out?

If providers travel to you, each session adds travel time and vehicle costs. Travel time comes from your return distance at an average of 50 km/h, up to 60 minutes a visit in cities and regional areas or 120 minutes in remote areas. It is charged at the provider travel price, usually half the hourly price, plus up to $0.99 a kilometre.

What changes if an allied health assistant runs some sessions?

An allied health assistant delivers therapy that your therapist has planned, at a much lower hourly price. If an assistant runs some sessions, the calculator mixes the two prices, so the same budget usually pays for more sessions.

Is this a quote or financial advice?

No. It is an estimate based on the highest prices providers can charge. What you pay depends on your providers' prices and how they bill travel, reports and cancellations. Check current prices at ndis.gov.au and talk to your support coordinator or plan manager before you decide anything.

Do you keep my answers?

Not while you calculate. If you ask for the full results and a PDF, we keep your contact details and calculator answers so we can send the summary and, if you agree, contact you. We don't sell your details.
